Detached
A home which is free-standing on its own lot, and is designed for one single-family occupancy (though some may have finished basements suitable for extended relatives or rental units).
Duplex
Detached from neighbouring homes, yet contain two single-family units stacked above one another.
Semi-Detached
Two single-family homes alongside each other, attached by a common wall in the middle.
Townhouse
Townhouses are collections of multiple single-family homes joined by common walls.
Condominium
Typically highrises, these buildings are multistorey residential buildings containing many individual single-family units.
